His vocals work well on here for the most part as well. The production on this project with its really well done 808s works perfectly for the sound Uzis trying to do on here. And while Uzi has varied in quality since this release, I can easily say that LIR will always be a standout in his catalog. Mill last released the album Championships in 2018. Lil Uzi Verts second mixtape is a pretty solid collection of trap songs. Uzi stayed true to himself while at the same time busting the door open to a wider audience with his fun attitude, moody production, and infectious lyrics and ad-libs.

all that faking homie Like oh god damn, thats the bitch that I want Oh god damn, diamonds all on my fronts Like 7 AM I was fucking your love 11 AM, you took that bitch right to brunch. Sure others came before with similar ideas, but LIR has a flow to it that was super mature compared to what came out around the same time. Aye I told that bitch I count my cake, bitch get out my face For. To me it cemented the new school of as THE sound. I’d also go out on a limb and say that this was the most well put together project of the SoundCloud era and a trailblazer in term of what “mumble rap” could be. And although you could say some songs sound “dated” or “of the era,” it personally doesn’t take away from the attitude that every part of this project oozes. With songs like 7AM and Top that never left rotation, menacing production throughout, and closing with the aptly named Paradise, I really love every song on this album. Maybe this is my nostalgia talking but this is my favorite Uzi project, it just doesn’t miss.
